5 tips for healthy heart

Few years back the reason for the broken heart in youth is love. But in recent days the scenario is changed. The life style of the young and their food habits has been an important factor for their ill heart. According to some statistics four people die of heart attack every minute in India mainly in the age group of 30 and 50. Now let us look some reasons for this cause:
 1. Quit Smoking:
Initially it begins as fashion in college days and later you would get addicted to it. Tobacco is responsible for the stiffness of the blood vessel and makes them less elastic for the blood flow and becomes reason for the blood clot in the vessels. Once a person quits smoking it takes nearly 2-3 years for him to develop healthy working heart provided he should not smoke during these years.
 2. Reduce High cholesterol levels:
A little cholesterol is required for good health but in large doses it may lead to obesity. Not only this the get deposited in the inner lining of arteries and making them narrower which does not allow proper blood flow through the arteries
3. Have control on Diabetes:
It has an increased tendency to form blood clots. Compared to non-diabetic a diabetic has the risk of sudden cardiac arrest.
 4. Reduce Hypertension:
Changing food habits with increased salt consumption, increase in the stress is also the reasons for ill heart. One should not take junk food between meals when hungry. Many may think that Indians are healthy because most of them are vegetarians but you should not forget that even vegetarians should reduce the use of ghee, oil, etc in larger content on making their food.
 5. Lack of awareness :
Many of the rural and urban poor ignore the disease due to poor access to health care, high cost of treatments and illiteracy. These numbers are not going to decrease unless drastic steps are taken by the government.
