The Biggest Data Breach:
Confirming the biggest data breach in history, Yahoo said
that cyber criminals had stolen 50Crore mail accounts and user data.
Yahoo says account information may have names, email
addresses, telephone numbers, Date of birth, and in some cases security
questions.
What you have to do ?
1.
Change you passwords immediately for all yahoo
accounts.
2.
If you have any credit card or bank details with
yahoo, you need to review them and secure them as well by changing you
transaction passwords .
3.
You need to check your sent box for mails which
you had sent, if found any mails which you had not sent then you need to be
more cautious.
4.
Ignore mails that ask for your personal information.
5.
Don’t download links or attachments from unknown
yahoo senders.
6.
Use Yahoo Account key to avoid use of password.
7.
Don’t use yahoo passwords across other social
media sites, if so try to maintain separate password for each social media
account, so that you stay safe even if other
accounts are compromised.
