The tech giant Google is planning to provide internet access
to millions of people in the remote parts of the world through
the PROJECT LOON
in which thousands of balloons would be released in the near future allowing more than 4 billion people with no
access to get online.
The most advantage of this project is to communicate with
others during natural disasters when the existing communication systems and
infrastructure fails. It works by connecting the ground stations to the local
internet infrastructure and beaming signals to the balloons, which are self
powered by solar panels. These balloons are generally in the stratosphere barely
visible to the naked eye and are able to communicate by forming a network in
the sky.
Users below will be having an antennae by the side of their
house or on the top of the roof of their house through which they can send and receive data signals.
