7 PLACEMENT TIPS FOR FRESHERS.

Job or employment is the dream of every graduate. So here I would like to give some tips for freshers who are getting ready for their placements both on campus and off campus.

1.       First and foremost thing is to get to know the vacancies and venues for various drives through company websites or placement portals like naukri.com,monster.com,freshersworld.com or through seniors.

2.       You need to get prepared in advance for all kinds of recruitments and get knowledge of various round the recruiters conduct to hire the candidates, this again can be done through placement portals. Product development companies expect coding. So you need to be strong in coding right from your third onwards. You can choose your platform to write the code during recruitment. It can be c, c++, java.

3.       Apply on time. Visit the websites of your dream companies and stay tuned for their updates.

4.       You need to be strong in aptitude, verbal, logical areas. R.S.Aggarwal is the recommended book for aptitude.

5.       Develop your communication skills by interacting with your friends on various national and social issues. This comes in handy during your group discussion which is a mass elimination round after aptitude round.

6.       You need to be strong in your core subjects. So before going to a drive you need to revise the basics of various topics in your core areas. You may be tested in you core areas during your technical interview.

7.       You have to do some projects or presentation during your college life with dedication , not that it is a part of the curriculum. These indirectly improve your leadership skills and communication skills and will impress the recruiter.
